I led the creation of a modern, scalable design system from initial concept to implementation, delegating tasks to a team of designers and developers. Leveraging the latest Figma features and applying best practices, I built a future-proof system tailored to Cineplex’s needs.
I also implemented processes to enhance collaboration between stakeholders, designers, and developers, and developed a documentation framework to ensure consistent, efficient use across teams.
I conducted user interviews, surveys, and testing to identify audience needs. Stakeholder workshops aligned the system with Cineplex’s goals, while competitive analysis offered industry insights.
The audit revealed inconsistencies across platforms, such as redundant components, mismatched styles, and accessibility shortcomings.
I built a dynamic documentation portal featuring detailed usage guidelines, developer-ready code snippets, and best practices for accessibility and responsive design.
After reviewing and providing feedback on research, competitive analysis, and business goals, I collaborated closely with the squad’s design lead, designers and developers to ensure high-quality outcomes.
In my role as the design system lead, I was regularly consulted for guidance on implementing design elements, maintaining consistency, and ensuring proper usage across all mocks and proposed designs. I provided feedback, reviewed designs, and offered input on flows, usability, and accessibility to support a cohesive and user-centered approach throughout the project.

The “Backstage” project involved modernizing the content management system (CMS) for the Cineplex Store website, which also serves as a central hub for customer support and inventory management. The initiative focused on updating functionality to streamline workflows, resetting backend connections for improved performance, and aligning the system’s visuals with Cineplex’s updated branding.
I was actively involved in aligning the project with business goals, creating wireframes, producing high-quality mockups, and acting as a liaison between designers and developers to ensure seamless implementation. Usability and accessibility were key priorities, ensuring the platform is intuitive, efficient, and WCAG-compliant.
